What’s your favorite part of working at Olive Garden?
I love working for a company that sets high expectations for our team members and our guests.  I think it’s great that Darden continues to grow and promotes within the company, always giving our team members a chance to advance and have careers.  I think it’s definitely a place where you reap the benefits of your hard work.

What have you learned through working at the Olive Garden?
I have found a passion for cooking food while at work and at home.  I’ve learned to take pride and put my stamp on everything that I do by doing it right the first time. I’ve gained valuable people skills. I could keep going and write an essay on it, really!

What’s your favorite memory of interacting with a guest?
One day I spoke to an older gentleman who came in with his granddaughter for dinner. He wanted a red sauce with all kinds of vegetables and herbs in it. He described it to me, and I told him I would make my best attempt at making it for him.  Once I brought the dish out, he tasted it and loved it. He turned to his granddaughter and told her, “See, honey? This is why I love the Olive Garden, because they know how to treat their customers.”  They both had huge smiles and called me to the table later to thank me for making their special dinner.
